There are two things that people learn very quickly about Warren Hoselton when they meet him: he loves trees and he’s passionate about Toronto Island Park.
Warren has been the Park Supervisor at Toronto Island Park for over 16 years and is well-known to residents and visitors alike. His dedication to preserving Island natural heritage and his commitment to Island residents has made Toronto Island Park one of the most unique and remarkable places in the City of Toronto. YES! Warren has been known to go out on a limb for trees – literally!
As a way to show appreciation for Warren’s hard work and dedication, an anonymous donor has stepped forward to create the Warren Hoselton Tree Fund. The anonymous donor will match every dollar donated by the public to the Warren Hoselton Tree Fund up to $2500 per year over the next four years (2016 – 2019) to go towards tree planting on the Islands. The goal of this campaign is to plant hundreds of trees of varying species throughout Toronto Island Park and strengthen the canopy through diversity.
