Now Accepting Tree For Me Facilitated Grant Applications for Spring 2018

January 08, 2018

Toronto Parks and Trees Foundation is happy to announce that Tree For Me Faciliated Grant Applications are now open for the Spring 2018 tree planting season!

Tree for Me, Toronto's community-powered backyard tree planting initiative, makes it easy for Toronto residents to get no-cost native trees for their properties. With funding support of up to $2000, charitable organizations and qualified donees can host Tree For Me events to help residents in diverse communities across Toronto have greater access to trees and the many benefits they provide.

Tree For Me also offers much more than funding alone. It's a great opportunity for organizations to:

  • grow their membership and volunteer-base

  • spark new conversations in their communities

  • create awareness around their other programs and initiatives

  • begin building sustainable stewardship practices from the ground up

Tree For Me can be adapted to suit the needs of almost any organization with resources and support from Toronto Parks and Trees Foundation. Tree For Me events support the Every Tree Counts campaign, a partnership between Toronto Parks and Trees Foundation and the City of Toronto to reach 40% tree canopy cover in Toronto. Tree For Me events help put more trees in our yards, more trees in our communities, and more trees in our city.

If you're interested in applying for funding to host a Tree For Me event in your community, please see our Grant Overview or consider registering for one of our free info sessions, where you'll learn more about how to bring a Tree For Me to your neighbourhood.
