VIS Fundraiser - Update
We are very proud to have worked with VIS to help grow the tree canopy in their community, the Distillery District.
Voice Intergrative School raised $3,000 for their Tree For Me event held on May 26th. Guests participated by registering for a Red Maple or Cedar tree online and were shown how to plant and properly care for their saplings by the students.
About the Event
The grade 1, 2, and 3 students of Voice Integrative School (VIS)
have chosen to support the Every Tree Counts
tree planting and care campaign for their Local to Global project this year.
In addition to raising funds and creating awareness about Every Tree Counts, students will cap off their fundraising efforts with a Tree For Me
event. Eligible participants in Tree For Me can receive a free native tree to plant in their yard. Stay tuned for updates as registration for Tree For Me will open in early April.
Toronto Parks and Trees Foundation would like to thank the students and teachers of VIS for their support of Every Tree Counts, a collective movement to grow Toronto's tree canopy to 40%.
